Weds., Sept. 1, 7 PM - 8:30 PM: The Woodlands Civil War Roundtable. The presentation will be “Dick Dowling”, led by Mark Vogl. Windsor Hill's residents and others may contact Luke Vandiver to attend. This is a free lecture and everyone is invited.
Mon., Sept. 6: Clubhouse Closed. The Clubhouse will be closed in observance of the holiday. However, the pool and fitness room will be open. The TRASH PICK UP will be WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7.
Tues, Sept. 7, 1 PM: Trips Meeting. New faces and ideas are welcome at this meeting.
Weds., Sept. 8, 11:15 AM: ROMEO Lunch. The ROMEO lunch will be held at Gooses Acre. To carpool, meet at the Clubhouse at 11:15 AM. Wear your Windsor Hills badge. Call Bob Wall to reserve your place. Free parking at the Marriott garage with lunch receipt from Gooses Acre.
Weds., Sept. 8, 11:30 AM: Movie Matinee and Pizza. Movie Matinee will be featuring “Gifted Hands”. Ben Carson (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) starts out life as a child from a one-parent home with failing grades at school. Ben's mother dropped out of the third grade but swears her son will learn while checking herself into a mental facility. Ben begins to show a temper when he almost kills his best friend as a teenager. Ben realizes he must change. He becomes the top student in his eighth grade class, third in his high school class and with hard work and strong determination, he received a scholarship to college and went on to medical school. Carson faced adversity from fellow doctors and students while working at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. It is here where he performed an operation as a resident without supervision, risking his medical career to save a man's life. Based on a true story. Rated G

Thurs., Sept. 9, 10 AM: Activities Meeting. The Activities Committee will begin planning the 2011 calendar year at this meeting. Everyone is encouraged to attend this important meeting.
Fri., Sept. 10, 10 AM: Ladies Coffee. Join the ladies of Windsor Hills for freshly brewed coffee, sweet pastries and delightful conversation. Don’t forget to come to “Dance to the Oldies” at 9 AM, prior to the coffee.

Tues., Sept. 14, 11 AM: Walgreens Flu Shots. Back by popular demand, Walgreens will be giving flu shots at the Clubhouse from 11AM – 3 PM. The “all-in-one” flu shot is $29.99. Medicare and cash/check are accepted. Sign up at the Clubhouse.
Weds., Sept. 15, 10 AM: Women’s Bible Study. The Revelation study with Beth Moore will be delayed for 4 weeks and will start October 6. For the first 4 weeks, the group will be studying a book by Kerry and Chris Shook entitled, "Love at Last Sight". Books for the study are available at the Church Bookstore at Fellowship of the Woodlands Church across 242.
Thurs., Sept. 16, 7 PM: Board Meeting. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Fri., Sept. 17, 11 AM: Garden Club Meeting. Meet the new Board members and learn the future plans for the year. Invite ‘new’ neighbors. The meeting is free. Lunch is $3. The guest speaker will be Sheri Harrah of Plants for all Seasons. Sheri will speak about organics, veggie gardening (square foot and regular gardens) and will be bringing door prizes.
The October speaker, Bob Daily, will speak on water conservation.
Sat., Sept. 18, 2:30 PM: English Afternoon Tea.
Enjoy an elegant English afternoon tea and fashion show. The fashion show will be presented by the Assistance League of Montgomery County. Gently used fashions will be modeled and offered for sale following the event. Credit cards and checks are welcome. The cost of the event is $10. Sign up at the Clubhouse.

Sat., Sept. 25, 10 AM: Computer Class. Alan Stultz, an Instructor from Lone Star College, teaches a computer class at the Clubhouse the fourth Saturday of each month. This class is free to all residents.
Sat., Sept. 25, 2:30 PM: Movie Afternoon and Ice Cream. The Movie Afternoon will be featuring “Dear John”. It was two weeks that would change their lives forever. Soon after John and Savannah fall madly in love, their relationship is put on hold. Upcoming Events
Weds., Oct. 6, 9:15 AM: Messina Hof Tour & Wine Tasting. Cost for the trip is $23 (Bus, Tour & Tasting). Tour and tasting starts at 11:30 AM. It includes tasting four wines and a souvenir glass. There will be time to visit the gift shop. Optional lunch will be served at the Vintage House Restaurant at 1 PM. Lunch at your own expense. Lunch menu available at the Clubhouse.
Sat., Oct. 23, 5 PM: Happy Fall Ya’ll. Great fall fun. Food provided by Catering Delights. Live entertainment provided by Diamondback. Tickets are $20 per person. Hurry and sign up before tickets are sold out.
